Over the last five years, cannabis has become one of the world’s fastest-growing industries. Yet this tremendous growth appears to be outpacing the current rate of educational development, as there exists very little in the way of recognised certification for those individuals and organizations who have contact with this emerging industry. Furthermore, quality assurance (QA) in open and distance learning (ODL) can be a contentious issue, especially when it comes to cannabis and the challenge of finding fact-based instruction amidst the complex and conflicting information that exists online.

This IQV endorsed assessment programme allows personnel in ‘Hard’ Facilities’ Management (FM) to get a recognised certification to act either as Competent Person (CP) or Authorised Person (AP) Ventilation. It covers primarily the Healthcare (FM) Sector, but is portable to wider industry in general. Having qualified personnel allows FM companies to meet Safe System Of People (SSOP) requirements and a Competence Management System (CMS). These act as indicators in demonstrating to a Principal Client that technical and safety standards can be achieved.
The APV programme is delivered via blended learning featuring classroom sessions, group discussions, one-one mentoring and tutorials. It is assessed via a written examination and follow up viva-voce to demonstrate site knowledge and equipment familiarity in a real-time scenario.
Evidence of continued competency/ application of knowledge is to be submitted to Zebra Trading annually. Every three years, certificated learners are expected to undergo a process of re-certification to evidence their adherence to the latest in AVP competency standards.
Contact Zebra Trading today for more information or to enquire about enrolment on this essential 3rd party endorsed APVAP assessment programme.
